The Best Pizza Recipes for #NationalPizzaDay

For the past couple of months, my favorite night of the week has been pizza night. I started making pizzas, or rather flatbreads, at home some time over the summer and each week I have loved trying out new toppings!

Making pizza at home has really changed my perception of it. I used to think that I wasn’t really such a big fan because store bought is usually so heavy and greasy. But I find that when I make it at home, I have control over what goes on it so I can ensure that its light and healthy!

So as I sit here meal planning for this week, I thought I’d round up a few of my favorite pizza recipes from the blog. Also tomorrow is #NationalPizzaDay so what better excuse to eat our hearts out! Check out some of my favorite recipes below.

BUFFALO MOZZARELLA, GREENS & WATERMELON RADISH

Well clearly this pizza is just plain gorgeous, this would be one that I’d make if I was entertaining because you’re assured at least one “wow” when this baby comes out of the oven. But seriously, the buffalo mozzarella on this is a game changer. I love spicy foods so combining that with fresh mozzarella is a match made in heaven.

TRIPLE CHEESE CAULIFLOWER CRUST PIZZA WITH BLUEBERRIES & GREENS

This to me is a great example of a brunch pizza. Usually I’m all about the savory, but the blueberries on this pizza make it feel light & the perfect thing to have on Sunday afternoon. Also we can’t forget the cauliflower crust! I mean if you are trying to be more health conscious then this pizza is a no brainer, it’s seriously guilt free!

ZUCCHINI & FARMERS CHEESE PIZZA WITH FRESH CHIVES

Every pizza recipe list needs to include at least one green pie, so heres ours! The stand out ingredient on this pie for me would be the chives. I know it seems like such a small part but really give each bite such a yummy taste. I personally love anything in the onion family, I don’t care if it makes my breath stink. Life is too short not to eat well!

Goat cheese, peaches, & greens

Love how simple & easy this recipe is, especially for the summer time. It’s the perfect little pizza to have as an afternoon snack with a glass of lemonade. The peaches make it taste so summery too! Top it with the balsamic glaze at the end and you have you’re self the perfect little pie.

THE best PIZZA DOUGH

If you know me, then you know I’m all about keeping it simple…. let’s not over complicate things. So I literally always buy my pizza dough pre-made. At my local grocery store then sell it for less than $3, so to me it just makes sense to not bother with it. But I wanted to include this recipe because I know there are a lot of people out there who actually want to do things right and make it their own, so this ones for you!
