When you wear a lot of Hats

I love hats. The reason I love hats so much? Because I hate washing my hair. SO 9 times out of 10…I cover up my mop with a hat. Today I’m recapping my favorite hats for all seasons…

Any season: The Trucker Hat

A classic, easy to wear, favorite of mine. I have so many trucker hats that I love. First and foremost, the custom hats we made for Gavin’s Bar Mitzvah. You can’t buy this hat, but I had to share it because is turned out so well and it’s so fun seeing all of our friends and family wearing it.

Trucker hats tend to be the kind of thing that you buy at your favorite places like a ski mountain, a golf course, a new city you traveled to, etc. I go to Aspen sometimes with one of my besties from Toronto and on our last trip, we got hats from our favorite spot: Cloud 9. This is a hat I’ve worn to death so I’ll need to replace this March when I’m back. But my all time favorite trucker hat is from my fave store in Toronto called Rainbow Jeans. This store has been around since I was a little kid and they have great hats! When I was last there I discovered the brand Goorin Bros. and now I see these hats all over. They have super fun colors and animals on each.

Winter: Touques (how Canadians say beanies)

Now once again, I must say my favorite beanie is the one we had made for Gavin’s Bar Mitzvah. These custom hats were made by Luxe Kippot and she totally nailed it with the quality. Not to mention Maggie’s designs for Gavin’s Bar Mitzvah were so cool and NOT cheesy so our friends, family and MYSELF are wearing all of the items all the time!

For a more attainable hat, I recommend this hat that I found on Amazon that we had ordered for our a client’s holiday party. These hats are warm, SO cozy and SO cute! Everyone was wearing them at the end of the night when the sun went down and it got a bit chilly under the dance tent at this party! Now, I wear this hat all the time, especially at the ski mountain when it’s 16 degrees!

Another AMAZING beanie that I’m absolutely obsessed with was designed by my friend Alex of Piccolini. She has the cutest kids line all NYC themed. I wore this hat all through my trip to Israel as it was a bit chilly and this hat was just TOO CUTE!

SUMMER: The straw hat

There are so many versions of this hat I could go on for pages and days listing them all out. My favorite is an oversized floppy hat especially when I’m out in the sun. I do also love a smaller, tighter almost fedora looking straw hat which is nice for shopping or a late afternoon out for happy hour. I find the best selections for straw hats at J.Crew and Target.

Fall or ANY SEASON!: The Custom Hat

This Christmukka Maggie made us custom REV Hats. I’ve spoken a lot about custom hats above for Gavin’s Bar Mitzvah and though those hats are unique to his event, you can make custom hats for yourself! Maggie made these new REV NEW YORK hats for us on Zazzle. If you’re going to print a small quantity then just do a quick Google search for your best options. If it’s in bulk, I highly recommend Luxe Kippot!
