Tablescaping with Courvoisier

At the end of September we got an inquiry to style an intimate dinner party for 15 people, specifically a branded event for Courvoisier. Which meant it was all about the cocktails! But to pair with the cocktails, the brand hired Chef Rōze Traore to create a delicious tasting menu that would highlight each Cognac cocktail.

Our job? You guessed it - design and style a beautiful table-scape to highlight the Cognac Brand. The venue was a space we’ve worked in a few times before, The Chef’s Dinner Table. You may remember it from The 100% Pure Beauty Brunch or The Garmin Breakfast, both stunning events!

Needless to say, we were pumped. Tablescaping is seriously our favorite. And the “vibe” for this party was right up our alley. When sourcing items we kept the words “Modern French” in mind and looked for items in the white family with lots of texture to brighten the space and make it feel nice and cozy.

Let’s start with the dinner table, which was really the heart of this event. The table in this space is quite large but it was actually perfect because we spaced out all of our guests to keep it nice and Covid friendly. To utilize the entire length of the table, we added a neutral gauze runners down the center that we twisted and turned for an organic effect.

Next, we added 3 large floral centerpieces which were so fun to make. We love the whimsical and natural feeling they gave off to the rest of the tablescape. We even added some dried florals to give it a more modern feel.

In between those larger centerpieces we added smaller elements like bud vases, votives, and taper candles. We wanted the table to feel really warm and inviting and candles are always the way to achieve that look!

To finish off the table, we helped select some beautiful dinnerware and napkins and added a piece of dried florals on top of each menu to tie everything together.

In a few other parts of the room, we added fresh art pieces to make the space feel more modern.

We also added decanters with fresh florals around the space and paired them with the gorgeous Cognac bottles.

Finally, towards the front of the room, otherwise known as “the lounge” we added a few different decor pieces to make the space feel more like home. Specifically pillows, throw blankets, coasters, coffee table books, candles, new lighting, and of course - fresh florals.

All and all the space turned out beautiful and we had so much fun designing this event from start to finish. Now head over to the Courvoisier website to checkout some of the delicious cocktail recipes!
