Pumpkin Everything

Though we’re still a few weeks away from fall, once Labor Day is over and all the kids are back in school I think its fair game to begin the change in season. Fall is my favorite time of the year… I love the clothing, the weather, the change of leaves, Halloween, I could go on and on! By far the most iconic symbol to represent the most amazing season is pumpkins! They are definitely a favorite to decorate with or to spice up your life with! So today we’re brining you all the best pumpkin content from our blog!

Let’s start off with the food…

You don’t need to wait until Thanksgiving to try out Seri's Potato Pumpkin Casserole. Complete with a decadent layer of toasted marshmallows and walnuts. This recipe is the perfect sweet & savory combo so you can have it as a side dish or save it for dessert!

Up next is a fall staple… a Spiked Pumpkin Spice Latte! Your nearest coffee shop I’m sure has a variation of a pumpkin spice latte because it's that popular. But if you ever want to make it at home, try Abby’s delicious recipe of how to make it extra fun using a little bit of Bailey’s! Complete your seasonal drink with a rim of honey, cinnamon, and sugar. Then add whipped cream and a cinnamon stick for the perfect toppings!

We also have another variation of this on our blog, a Spiked Pumpkin Spice Milkshake! Theres a splash of vodka in this yummy drink but. you can also serve it up on its own for an afternoon treat!

If you want to keep with the brunch theme, try Debi’s Pumpkin, Squash, and Banana Waffles. It’s a seasonal dish you don’t see everywhere. In this post she even gives a great idea on how to DIY some decor for fall - painted mini pumpkins!

Pumpkin Muffins are also a great idea for brunch because you can whip up a big batch of them and then enjoy them all week long! Keep them styled on a pretty cake stand then they act as decor as well!

One of my personal favorite cocktail recipes that we have on the blog are these Sparkling Cider Pumpkin Beer-tails. During the fall, whenever I go out to get a drink I always pick a seasonal cocktail with some type of cider in it. This one is especially perfect for me because it has beer in it too! And you all know I’m a total beer type of gal.

Now on to decor! One year we decorated these pumpkins using just spray paint and studs. This DIY was so easy and took such little time to put together. It’s a really easy way to elevate your pumpkins, especially if you’re using them indoors! (Remember to be mindful of any furry animals that might want to chow down on your pumpkins as a snack. Spray paint is toxic to them too!).

Another way you can creatively use spray paint is like how we did here for our Pinksgiving party. We spray painted a couple of different pumpkins and grounds to use a runner in the center of our table. If you were painting them, it would also look awesome if you could do this in an ombre color palette!

A nice carved pumpkin makes a great vessel for some snacks! We’ve done this a couple of times over the years and every time it looks just as stunning as the last! If you’re putting a dry snack into the pumpkin just make sure to secure it with either a bowl or a napkin to keep it fresh!

Let’s get the kids involved! You can never go wrong with a pumpkin decorating station. Set it up with a variety of pumpkins, paints, stickers, markers, and other fun additions like pom poms! It’s really a chance to let their creativity out and we’re all here for it!
