MEET THE TEAM SERIES: PART 2

When coming up with the plans to open The Social Society, I knew that the single most important role I had to fill was Store Manager. I had to find someone who I could trust to run that shop when I am not there to do so myself.  I had to find someone who is a ass-buster like I am. Someone who works hard. Someone who is kind but also super bubbly and fun and engaging with people so my customers would always feel welcome and inspired to shop. Well after months of interviews, I found her with the help of my HR team and gosh did I ever get lucky with this one….
Meet Nicole.  Nicole is the Store Manager for The Social Society and has all of the qualities that I listed above.  She is incredible and let me tell you, people like her, are not easy to find so I always consider these scenarios to be a gift from G-d.

What I love most about Nicole is her ability to problem solve and think outside the box. She’s super creative with merchandising the store and keeping everything organized. This is so helpful for me as I have so much to tackle on a daily basis and I want to be IN the store talking to the customers so knowing that Nicole can log in inventory, manage balloon orders and take care of everything needed behind the scenes, I am able to focus on being present when I am in the store.

This month I was presented with a press opportunity about Friendsgiving. Almost every person I have brought onto my team over the past 15 years has become like family to me. A local, free magazine in my neighborhood loved this and the idea of shooting a Friendsgiving table with the girls who I work with, who have become like my family. I included Nicole in this shoot because we bonded instantly.
As it turns out, we have an incredible staff and it genuinely feels like we are running the business like one big happy family. Everyone is so supportive of each other and makes it a pretty awesome place to come to work every day.

Next time you’re in The Social Society, if you have the pleasure of saying hi, meet Nicole and she’ll be sure to help you with all of your party needs.
