One of our favorite sporting events of the year is approaching. That's right- The Kentucky Derby is this weekend and it's our favorite sporting event simply because of the parties, the fashion, and the mint juleps. We saw the cutest balloon DIY collaboration between Studio DIY and Balloon Time and decided to adapt the steps to make it our own.

All you need is a metallic gold marker, helium-filled balloons, tape and a stencil of a horseshoe (we printed this one and cut it out ourselves).

Step 1: Carefully tape your stencil in the center of a balloon and trace around it using the metallic marker.

Step 2: Draw in a few "holes" so you remember to leave those spots unfilled.

Step 3: Fill in the outline of the horseshoe with controlled strokes so it doesn't look messy, being sure to avoid the holes.

Step 4: Repeat on the whole batch, and get ready to party!
