A Boozy Easter Brunch

Easter! Not a holiday I celebrate as a Jew BUT…a holiday that I use as an excuse to celebrate because the traditions are all so wonderful.

This year, I’m hosting an adults, boozy, brunch outside in the warm, spring air. I have so many gorgeous details planned out and am very excited to share with you! Where should we start?!

Let’s start with the table. Easter brunch calls for a table linen in my mind. instantly elevates the table and kicks off the color palette. I wanted to infuse my table with a lot of color this year as spring has never felt so good after a long year of isolating!

I pulled a pale pink ceramic plate from my cupboard which worked in perfectly because it didn’t steal the show by being too bright.

To pull through the Easter theme, I painted wooden eggs in a variety of bold + beautiful colors and used them to hold down our custom designed menus so they wouldn’t blow away in the wind.

I found the most fabulous dip dyed linen napkins in an orange ombre. I tied each with a green ribbon. Remind you of anything? A CARROT Maybe?!

As a festive take home, I crafted egg cartons with faux florals that I topped on each place setting.

Last but not least, I went to the Jacksonville Flower Market and after many hours of searching for the perfect flowers, I found a pretty fabulous assortment for a dramatic centerpiece.

Now for the bar. A boozy brunch can go many different ways but for me, I will forever serve mimosas. A mimosa bar is easy, colorful and feels pretty healthy with all the fresh squeezed juice and fruit! Give your guests a variety of options like orange juice, grapefruit and cranberry. Include fresh fruit to be added as garnishes like raspberries, orange slices and edible flowers if you can find them! I sometimes find them at Whole Foods and go lucky with what I found for this brunch!

How about a sweet treat to top off a savory and delicious brunch? I don’t bake and I don’t like anything too fancy when it comes to dessert so I picked up a small white cake from my local grocery store and topped it with a faux flower for some color and fun.

Now…add in your friends and VOILA! Eat, drink and be merry! Happy Easter friends…Hope the Easter bunny brings all that you wished for this year!
