A bathroom makeover

One of the best things to come from our move to Florida is the people we have met. One of the first friends I made here reached out in a DM on Instagram and said SERI! I’ve been following you for years and can’t believe you moved to PVB…that’s where I live! After researching and confirming she wasn’t a murderer, we got together and became instant friends! She told me she used to be an event planner in D.C., and that’s how she stumbled upon my account and started to follow for inspiration. Then moved to Florida and after the pandemic when the events industry got crushed, she started a home organizing business called Order & Co..

Now I’m a very OCD, organized human being so when moving into this house here in Florida, I was pretty set on the organized front. However, there was one area of the house that I did not give my typical organized love to and that was my master bathroom. I don’t know what it was…maybe just being lazy? Everything I had brought or purchased for the bathroom just got thrown into the drawers and cupboards with no thought what so ever and it was driving me mad. Especially because the bathroom is where and how I start my day so I really wanted to get it organized!

I could have easily done this project on my own but I’m a big believer in supporting small, female owned businesses so I called in my girls Meghan and her partner Nikki to give this a go and I must say…I’m SO happy I did! They were such a pleasure to work with, were so quick on the job and my bathroom is now not only organized but looks GORGEOUS.

Here are the details behind my bathroom makeover….

First and most importantly, the girls sourced a liner for all of my cupboards and drawers that was New York City themed by a really cool company called Spoonflower. AH!! How thoughtful and it looks AMAZING!!

Next up, they filled my cupboards and drawers with products like bins, trays and sliding trays to organize all of my items. My favorite is the cupboard with the grey bins clearly marked with all of our first aid essentials….

And even more so I love my new “every day” drawers with my lotions, eye liners and lip gloss at my fingertips so easy to grab and go when I’m rushing off the kids to school.

There is no doubt, when things are organized in your life, there is a sense of calm. Once the girls had left my house and were done organizing, I kept staring at each cupboard and drawer in my bathroom. Once I finally walked out of my bathroom and took a break from all the staring, I noticed a gift left on my bedside table…

What a surprise this was. A Thank you note and a candle of CALM! Absolutely genius and adorable. I love a good marketing moment and any chance you can to thank a customer is such a great quality in a business.

I can’t recommend these girls enough…they were professional and made this process so easy. I just adore them and my new and improved bathroom!
