Black Owned Businesses: Home Edition

As Seri mentioned in our Kids Edition post featuring Black owned business, I’ve been working hard to do my best to support the Black Lives Matter movement- reading, listening, learning, signing petitions and making donations are just the beginning.

One of the most inspiring things for me personally has been my discovery of incredible black artists and home decor companies. It’s a shame that these brands and artists have always been there, but I’m only just seeing some of them for the first time. This is an easy indicator that our society needs to change to be all-inclusive so pure talent and incredible businesses will always receive the recognition they deserve!

If you know me personally, you know how important it is to me to make my apartment feel like home. As I started to discover new artists, I built a list of features in my Instagram stories on my art account, Ramblerose. After I shared this list with the rest of the LMP team, they piped in with some amazing home decor finds to round things out!

I felt like there’s no time like the present to play catch up with supporting the Black community. I started by purchasing prints from Jade Purple Brown and Morgan Harper Nichols, which you will see featured in my blog post about my apartment decor this coming Thursday (stay tuned!) I know Seri also snagged some amazing glassware from Estelle Colored Glass, which you will also see featured below.

It was nearly impossible to choose our favorites from each business, so click the images for a link to the direct product, or click the business names listed to below to view their entire online shops! If you discover any more businesses that should be on our radar, please leave them in the comments below. HAPPY SHOPPING!
