Vinyl Remix by Pure Ice
Back in October of last year we put on a party for our multi talented web designer Kendra of Hi Design for her line of beauty products: Organic One Love. At this party in the Shen Beauty store located in Brooklyn we had the great pleasure of meeting and hanging out with the gals from Bella PR. Since meeting they have been in touch and most recently asked for our help with a party for their client and nail polish guru’s at Pure Ice.
They were launching a new line of nail polish involving a crackle top coat called Vinyl Remix. Michelle and I were psyched. This was not only a really cool brand they were putting out on the market but an opportunity to really have some fun with color and our displays.
We thought the best possible venue for this party would be the Beauty Bar. They have a perfectly sized private room in the back where the walls are painted black and white with glitter all over and large pictures of beauty images from the 50’s are displayed. We had them set us up with a couple of their sweet manicurists at stations where guests could get their nails done in the new polish that was being launched by Pure Ice.
For our decor we went wild with the currently trendy and super fun neon pink and yellow mixed in with lots of black and white. We placed pink glow sticks on the dessert table and LED yellow ice cubes where the food was set bringing some true pops of color to each table. We also went bananas for the LED martini cups for our Lemon drop signature drink which were a hit amongst the guests mingling through this party.
We also used Confetti Systems for the first time…they make the most fabulous fringe garland and pinatas for your classy party needs. We kept our colors neutral and hung up under the bar to spruce it up just a bit!
The girls at Bella provided a DJ who was spinning tunes from the 80s, 90s and current top 4o charts all remixed up together. The music was fun and upbeat and we hope to work with her on some LMP events in the future!
We played off the theme here and offered a nice assortment of “beauty bites” that we got from our friends at Cobblestone Catering including mini tomato & goat cheese tarts, Asian shrimp skewers and vegetarian summer rolls. We also put out a crate of crudités for the guests to nibble on with blue cheese and ranch to dip.
You may remember my telling you a little while back about the DIY neon cake stands that we made. They were specifically for this party and couldn’t have looked better with our food placed on top.
And of course – you know it…we had some “sassy treats” inspired by the funky nail polish we were honoring. A few chocolate dipped pretzels with hot pink sprinkles and from Kristan at Kreated by K some pink cake pops dusted with silver glitter and white chocolate dipped Oreos covered in rock candy.
Pure Ice has a very clever way of branding their nail polish that is sold in a set for their customers to use. You apply a base coat of white and then a top coat of black which turns into a crackle design on your nail. The nifty little set comes with a complimentary nail file shaped like a vinyl record – too cute. Check out their full line of polish at your nearest Walmart.
Thanks to all the staff members we had the pleasure of working with at Bella and Pure Ice – hope to work with you all again soon!
