Cocktails for a Night In This Winter

Well the new year has come and gone and unfortunately we are STILL in a pandemic. Back in March when quarantine first started, a lot of us got into cocktail making! So I thought about getting back into that to give me something to look forward to each weekend.

Back then we were entering spring, so a lot of my cocktail choices were light and refreshing. With us being in the dead of winter, I thought I’d round cocktails that are a bit on the heavier side so they’d be perfect to curl up under a blanket with and play some board games! (Honestly this is my ideal type of night anyway, haha).

So if you looking for some recipes for a fancy cocktail at home, keep reading to see some of my faves!

SPIKED MOCHACCINOS

This recipe is perfect for a boozy Sunday brunch. Pour yourself a delicious cup of coffee and bake yourself a mini cinnamon roll as a fun garnish, it looks super cute and you’ll actually eat it! Its nice and filling too which I love because then you don’t have to worry about making anything else and can just worry about your morning crossword puzzle instead!

boozy eggnog garnished with KISSES Chocolate

To me, this is the perfect date night dessert cocktail. I’m not so much of a chocolate person, so eggnog is something I enjoy all through the winter. In my house we even make coquito - a Puerto Rican version that is made with coconut milk! The tiny chocolate Kiss garnish is the perfect touch of extra sweetness to end a little dinner at home with your significant other.

bourbon tonic

Speaking of date night, I really wanted to include a more masculine cocktails because sometimes you have to have something a little less sweet! In my house, we have SO much liquor that I barely ever touch because it was something we bought once for a certain occasion and now the bottle is collecting dust in our liquor cabinet so I’m excited to try this one out!

snakebite and black

In the winter of 2019 I went a trip to London, so now every year around this time I start to miss that trip… then I remembered that Abby once made this cocktail which is a native British drink that combines beer, cider, and occasionally black currant liqueur. So I’m definitely putting this one on my list of drinks to try so that I can pretend that sitting in a British pub *insert crying emoji here*, instead of my living room!

So there you have it! Four cocktails that are perfect for a chilly winter night at home! Tag us on Instagram if you try any of these awesome recipes!
